Titles, Ranks and Grades Explained:
  • In our maritime/nautical tradition we give senior officers (“Bridge Officers”)
    titles and ranks that are the equivalent of President, Vice President, Secretary
    and Treasurer in other organizations.

  • Our custom also is to add after the name an abbreviation for the highest
    Advanced Grade Course completed.

  • While these formalities are usually followed in written materials, the social
    and working relationships among all of us are informal, casual and friendly.
