                   “Onboard Weather Forecasting”

Description:
A veering wind will clear the sky
A backing wind says storms are nigh.
The public, members and their guests are invited to attend
a relaxing Saturday morning to learn about weather
forecasting using their own observations.  This new USPS
Weather Seminar includes an excellent slide presentation
that explains the basis of weather forecasts and how you
can add more accuracy to them.
The seminar is designed for those who are interested in
gaining a better sense of developing weather conditions
whether on the water or at home.  The presentation will
explain what weather systems are, how clouds help us to
predict the weather, and why wind direction, temperature
and pressure changes indicate stormy conditions.
There are no tests or quizzes – just a short fun morning
that will take a lot of the mystery out of stormy weather.
